  18.   The most effective insurance against a serious virus attack on your
  19.   network is a regular scan of all networked PC's and file servers.  In the
  20.   past assuring that scans are performed regularly, has been a difficult and
  21.   labor intensive task.  Now, PC ScanMaster combined with McAfee's
  22.   ViruScan and NetShield NLM, offers an automated, comprehensive solution
  23.   to detecting, containing and destroying viruses on NetWare.

  31.   PC ScanMaster works unobtrusively by checking how long it's been since a
  32.   user has scanned his or her PC.  There's no need for your users to
  33.   remember when or how to check their disks.  It's simple: every time a
  34.   user logs into the network, a batch process is called from the users
  35.   home directory, which in turn calls the PC ScanMaster program.

  42.   The program creates a database for each server where PC ScanMaster is
  43.   installed.  The database contains the NIC address and name of each user,
  44.   the last time each machine was scanned, and the result of that scan.

  46.   If the allotted time has expired since the last scan, McAfee's ViruScan
  47.   is automatically executed.  All local drives are scanned, including any
  48.   removable media with the disk inserted.

  50.   If the user is within the 'grace' period set by the administrator, he or
  51.   she may elect to abort the scan and proceed with their login.  However,
  52.   the database will record the abort.  This feature creates a report
  53.   describing the details of every user's faithfulness at following
  54.   policy.
